Home made hamburger buns on the BBQ

The big question why buy hamburger buns when you can easily make them yourself! Homemade buns are a lot fresher and taste a lot better. Another big advantage of them is you know what went in them! This hamburger bun recipe is quite easy to do and they always turn out nice and fluffy and very tasty. When making these you can also add a little bit of your favorite rub in the dough mixture for more flavour. If you don't like using egg wash on them you can use melted butter.

To cook these you will need a pizza stone. I you use a charcoal BBQ you can add a chunk or two of cherry wood on the hot coals for a nice smoke flavor. On a propane BBQ you can the same with wet wood chips place inside a heavy duty foil punch with lots of holes or use smoke box and place it directly on the burner. Smoking on a propane BBQ is not as-quint as effective due to the fact it has lots of places for the smoke to leeks out of the BBQ but it's better than nothing!
